A B O U T  M E

My paintings are created in watercolour, using vivid, luminous colours in a distinctive and original style and my work focuses not only on animals, flowers and wild birds, but also on the reflections they cast in the water.

My inspiration comes from looking beyond the subject itself. I don’t just paint the animal or bird; I paint its watery surroundings too, allowing the entire environment to shape the image. I hope you enjoy what you see.

I am a watercolour painter with a bold, original style. My work is unmistakable — rich, bright colours, strong depth, and often quite large in scale. You may love it or you may not, but you certainly won’t overlook it.

Next time you visit a canal, lake, or river, pause and look closely at the colours mirrored in the water. You may begin to notice what I see — and what inspires my artwork.

I live and work in the beautiful Brecon Beacons. The mountains are wonderful, but best of all are the canals, lakes, and rivers that provide endless inspiration Wales is beautiful — though often wet! Living in the Brecon Beacons means rain, cold weather, and even snow are simply part of everyday life.

I am an elected member of the Royal Watercolour Society of Wales, whose patron is the Prince of Wales.

I supply galleries with original artwork, prints, and cards.

If you would like to contact me, please use the contact page on this website. I always respond to emails related to my work.

I prefer not to answer phone calls while painting — wet paint has a habit of running down my arm when I reach for the phone!
